Markus Kattenbeck Markus Kattenbeck studied Information Science and European Ethnology at the University of Regensburg and the University of Newcastle (NSW, Australia). He graduated in 2008 in Regensburg and had been working for two years as a technical consultant in the field of IT Service Management. He has been a lecturer and PhD student at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg since 2010. His research focuses on pedestrian navigation systems, i.e. building a salience estimation scale for landmarks to be used in route instructions of mobile pedestrian navigation systems.
